PONTE PILAS – “IN VINO VERITAS”

Scottish-Ecuadorian quartet Ponte Pilas have been impressing fans and critics alike with their Späti-rock sound with their striking and immersive sound since their debut back in 2019. They have announced the news that their latest in a line of anticipated EPs, poised for release in February 2024, and unveiled a first teaser single from the forthcoming body of work.

“In Vino Veritas” is a heavy-hitting and playful number that sees the band cement their style further and showcase their artistic growth. The new track is produced and mixed by Lucas Piedra Cueva, and sees the band share songwriting duties. The song tackles a feeling of discontentment for modern ideals, of happiness being dictated by how much money you make, or how big your house is. The sprawling narrative is told impressively over intricate instrumentation, flaunting the band’s technical skill and observant commentary on life.
